Sound post-production,
from concept to screen

ISKA sound is a sound studio founded by Andrei Kartsev and Iuliia Sorokina. We work together across every stage of production and post-production: from developing the sonic concept and location recording on set, to recording, editing and mixing dialogue, Foley, sound effects, ambient sound and music.

We work in cinema, television, podcasts, audiobooks and audiovisual projects. Both graduates of VGIK (Moscow, 2014) and the University of Padova, we bring over a decade of combined studio practice to each project we take on.

Andrei Kartsev

Sound recordist, editor, mixer and sound designer with over ten years of experience across fiction film and documentary, television, animation, advertising, podcasts and audiobooks. Trained at VGIK (Moscow, 2014, with distinction) and the University of Padova (2026). Alongside his production practice, he pursues academic research in film sound narratology.

Iuliia Sorokina

Sound recordist, editor, mixer and sound designer with over ten years of experience in cinema and television post-production. Trained at VGIK (Moscow, 2014, with distinction) and the University of Padova (2026). Her work spans the full cycle of film sound production. In 2021 she received a prize from the Russian Ministry of Culture for her research on film sound.
